A novel that makes you smile and move, reminding a simple truth: no one is normal, no one is different, we are all unique and perfect.
Paolo Conforti is an ambitious and dishonest politician, skilled at appealing to the gut of the nation and constructing convenient truths. He is on the verge of becoming Prime Minister, the goal for which he has sacrificed everything. Paolo has been orphaned since the age of thirteen and also has a twin brother Simone, the person he is closer to than anyone else. Simone has Down syndrome and lives a simple and happy life; his strength lies in seeing beauty everywhere and getting straight to the point. When Paolo’s career collapses due to a corruption case and a dangerous blackmail, the politician finds a desperate and brilliant solution: to run Simone in his place, convinced he can manipulate him. But Simone is not manipulable, and his campaign – composed of hugs, sincerity, and kindness – surprises the nation, and especially Paolo.
