The story begins where the previous film, Terminator, left off. The protagonist is imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital. The son she had with the man who protected her in the first episode has been adopted. He is a troubled boy, but with great potential. He is destined to lead humanity in the future war against the robots. Two cyborgs are sent to Earth. One must kill the boy, the other protect him. Interestingly, the latter resembles the bad cyborg from the previous episode. The screenplay serves Schwarzenegger well! Meanwhile, the mother escapes from the institution and, with the help of the good cyborg, destroys the bad one in a finale with high emotional potential. A sequel that does not disappoint expectations. With a more substantial budget, Cameron tells the most improbable of adventures with such skill that even the most reluctant viewer is engaged. Great special effects produced by the company owned by George Lucas and a finale that turns to the pathetic with the cyborg committing a sort of suicide, amid the emotion crafted by experts in mass communication. Nonetheless, the film won 4 Oscars (makeup, sound, sound effects, special effects), establishing itself as one of the most striking achievements in big entertainment cinema. Schwarzenegger, as always, skillfully steps back in his acting with devices that denote more intelligence than talent.
