Paolo Marra killed his wife without any reason. Devoured by guilt, he decides to surrender: he wants to pay, serve his sentence, and restore dignity to the woman he killed and to himself. Amid distracted police officers, zealous lawyers, fortune tellers, and complicated bureaucratic loopholes, no one takes him seriously. The man finds himself a victim of a Kafkaesque paradox: no matter how much he wishes it, he cannot get himself arrested. The perfect scapegoat of a grotesque society that ignores those who want to redeem themselves.
