The family of Charlie Cannon, a correspondent for an American news channel, is in Egypt for work reasons, along with his wife Larissa and children Katie and Sebastian. Distracted by an important call, Charlie doesn't realize that Katie has been approached by a mysterious veiled figure, who first persuades her and then abducts the girl. Eight years later, the most unexpected news arrives: Katie has been found alive, inside a sarcophagus. Unrecognizable in appearance and behavior, she is welcomed back into the family, but strange incidents soon occur.
