Screening of the drama film "The Plain Cities".
Carlobianchi and Doriano, two broke fifty-year-olds and lovers of alcohol, await the return of their friend Genio, who fled years earlier to Argentina. During a night of drinking in Venice, they meet Giulio, an introverted young student, who ends up joining their journey. As they travel through the Veneto countryside, the two tell Giulio about their past: they had run an illegal eyewear trafficking operation with Genio, which ended with his flight and their ruin. Upon finding Genio, they discover that the hidden money is lost under an abandoned construction site. The journey becomes a coming-of-age path for Giulio: in the end, he affectionately bids farewell to the two new friends and departs for Verona, ready to turn the page.
