Screening of the adventure film "The Son of the Desert."
Sun is a twelve-year-old girl who grew up listening to her grandfather's fascinating story of "the ostrich child lost in the desert." Her grandfather's oral memory thus becomes a successful book, and during a series of presentations, Sun is invited to visit the Sahara. For her, it has always been a fairy tale, a magical tale to pass down, until in the heart of the desert, she reconstructs the incredible story of Hadara, a child born into a nomadic family who, at only two years old, got lost during a violent sandstorm. Destined for almost certain death, he is instead saved by a group of ostriches who take him in as part of their flock. For ten years, the animals offer him protection and teach him to survive amid dunes and relentless sun.
