The workshop, aimed at children from Primary School and Lower Secondary School, proposes itself as a tool for theater education, which aims to become a valuable support provided to participants especially for their relational, emotional, and expressive growth.
Inside Out tells the story of what happens in the mind of eleven-year-old Riley, where five emotions (Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust) manage her life. When a traumatic move puts Riley in crisis, Joy and Sadness get lost in the labyrinth of memory and must work together to return to Headquarters. The show aims to promote empathy and strategies to manage negative feelings, normalizing them without stigma. It teaches how to name new emotions, improving emotional awareness and cognitive development.
