Breaking free and setting off to discover the longest trek in the world. On May 1, 2019, the expedition "Va’ Sentiero" departed from Trieste to explore the Sentiero Italia: 7,000 km along all the mountains of the Boot, from the Alps to the Apennines.
A group of young people without records to break, only the desire to tell how Italy's mountains stand today. Day after day, countless people join the expedition, in a constantly evolving caravan reminiscent of Forrest Gump.
The docu-film recounts the first half of the journey, completed after 7 months (and 3,548 km under their soles!!) at the foot of the Sibillini Mountains, in the Marche region. Among moments of joy and fatigue, wonder and ongoing encounters, voices and stories... a great adventure in the secret heart of the Bel Paese.
