Nasim Eshqi, Iranian, and Francesca Borghetti, Italian, communicate via chat from Iran to Italy. They connected after Francesca read about her as the only woman capable of establishing routes on the mountains of Iran. Francesca wants to tell Nasim's story to the world, and to do so, she raises questions of representation: can she portray her without a veil? Nasim's answer is clear: outside her Islamic country, Iran, yes. And so the director draws from her collection of private photos, which reveal a challenging and unconventional path of evolution.
