It is not easy to trace a portrait of Bruno Morassutti, an educated and sensitive Italian architect, but also reserved and shy. Born in Padua, graduated from IUAV under Samonà, one of the few Italians to have attended F. L. Wright's school at Taliesin, he navigated the twentieth century with a design method that was both rigorous and brilliant.
The film reconstructs his human and professional legacy through the testimonies of friends and collaborators, thanks to valuable study materials and footage of his evocative buildings. The narration will unfold through different locations, from Milan to Madrid and to the Italian Alps and San Martino di Castrozza as a place of the heart, following the thread that connects a 60-year career and projects ranging from domestic scale to large infrastructures, all united by a clear vision of structural clarity and aesthetic freedom.
Free admission.
