Screening of the film "Vergot" by Cecilia Bozza Wolf. The screening will be presented by the director and some members of the cast.
Two brothers, an exuberant father with a strong personality, an invisible mother, perpetually present in her absence. A farming family in an alpine valley, the valley of the mocheni, living off fruit and wine production where everyone speaks a dialect as heavy as their manners. Gim is 19 years old: he has struggled to discover that he is homosexual. He knows that this reality clashes with the most widespread values and beliefs in his world. After countless hesitations, he decides to confront his father's aggressive criticisms and impose his condition on him, even though he is aware that it will cause him pain.
Supporting him is his older brother Alex, who tries to encourage him not to wallow in self-pity, to accept himself as he is, and at the same time knows he must carry on their father's expectations. Beyond his aggressively confident demeanor, Alex feels responsible for both himself and his father for his brother's fragility and the destructive unhappiness that permeates their shared life. Will they be able to continue living together, accepting each other for who they each are, for better or worse?
