Bergknappen 2026: medieval mining reenactment.
Program
- From 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM: opening of the Medieval Miners' Village with initial mineral processing, a mine for children, and personalized diplomas.
- From 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM: A Story for You! A corner dedicated to children's storytelling.
- From 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM: Become a Fencer! Basics of fencing for children.
- 6:00 PM: in the district of Fiera di Primiero, "Anno Domini 1477". Reenactment of the ceremony in which, in 1477, the emissary of Archduke Sigismund of Austria conferred upon the Miner Judge of Primiero the Bergordnung, the statute drafted specifically for the mining district of Primiero that regulated extraction and working conditions for the miners. The barons of Welsperg, the Miner Judge, the emissary of the Archduke, the Prior of San Martino, and the Bergknappen will be present. The historic procession will then traverse the picturesque district and ascend the Rivetta Koch until it reaches the Garden of the Palace of Mines.
