Marcello and Cornelio are two bachelor brothers living in a large house, and for this reason, their niece Alice wants to convince them to open a bed & breakfast. Today is Marcello's birthday, and he confides to his sister Laura that he is feeling slightly unwell and fears something bad might happen, as it has in the past. He also informs her that he is in contact with a woman on a dating chat who wants to pay an unexpected visit so they can finally meet and get to know each other. The plot thickens because Laura, influenced by horoscopes and dreams, suggests that Marcello invite a medium to their home to understand the meaning of a strange dream. Will this séance take place? Will they open the bed & breakfast? Many things will happen, all accompanied by an annoying intestinal problem that Marcello has.
