The meadows of Alpe Vederna were the main hay reserve for the stables of Primiero. Here - at the edge of Pian Grand, at an altitude of 1,330 meters - the Rifugio Vederna was built in 1970, among high-altitude farms and the little church dedicated to Our Lady of the Snow. A destination for those who love the rural mountain landscape and want to enjoy - from the summit of Monte Vederna - the view of the Primiero valley and the Pale di San Martino.

Opening:
From May 15 to mid-June on weekends. Every day from June 20 until the end of October.
Before the hike, it is advisable to check the actual opening of the refuge by contacting the manager.

Routes:
From the Refuge, you can reach Monte Vederna along a forest road in 1 hour of walking. Monte Pavione can be reached in 3 hours of walking along an easy path through Malga Agnerola and Passo del Pavione. The crossing to Rifugio Fonteghi in Val Noana takes 2 hours and 30 minutes of walking but without particular difficulties (E).
