This refuge was built in the sixties in a clearing facing the Vette Feltrine at about 1,200 metres above sea level, where the meadows give way to forest. It is the perfect place if you’re looking for a little relaxation in elegant rooms (there is also a sauna and wellness centre), if you love walking in mid-level mountains or if you appreciate good food. There’s also lots of outdoor space for children's games. The refuge (which has been completely renovated and can be easily reached from Primiero) is now run by a second generation of wardens. Continuing along the forestry track through Val Giasinozza, you will get to the Baita Cogolate (around 6 kilometres on undulating terrain). In summer 2015, the local CAI (Italian Alpine Club) restored and signposted several footpaths that start from the refuge, such as the no. 744 to Croce Padella (2 hrs 10 mins, difficulty E)
