Scattered signs of rural activity among meadows and woods - Route 2269

High altitude route that starts and ends at Rifugio Caltena (1260 m a.s.l.), a hiking refuge and excellent restaurant in a charming location, with a wide view of the Vette Feltrine.The itinerary allows you to discover mountain pastures, alpine huts, and the rural activity that still actively continues today and has guaranteed the preservation of this typical alpine environment. The section of the themed route "Cordogné – San Giovanni" descends along a ridge with splendid views over the slopes of the Vette Feltrine and the Pale di S. Martino. The panoramic viewpoint on the Church of San Giovanni with the Vette Feltrine in the background is very suggestive. This route is recommended during the autumn colors.It is also possible to start from the valley floor, but in this case the itinerary includes a climb of about 4 km with steep slopes, making it advisable for fit people or with e-bikes.
