If the chairlift is called Paradiso, there must be a reason?!
You will discover it as you ascend to the summit when darkness begins to give way to the light of day, allowing your gaze to wander towards the valley, with Cimon della Pala so close it will leave you almost breathless. And then, once the sun peeks out between the rocks, down the immaculate slopes of Passo Rolle to enjoy a delicious breakfast at the malga featuring products from the Strada dei formaggi delle Dolomiti. These are the ingredients of this #Trentinoskisunrise that will take you to one of the most glorious and historic places in the Dolomites.
For those who do not ski, the day continues with a captivating and fun guided snowshoe hike through gentle slopes and dense woods, in the heart of the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Natural Park.
PROGRAM
- 06.15 - Meet at Malga Rolle. At 2000 meters the air is crisp, so a good hot coffee will give us the right energy to enjoy this unique experience!
- 6.30 - Here we go, it starts! The Paradiso Chairlift is open just for us. We ascend to reach the ridge of Tognazza… once at the top, the first lights of dawn unveil a unique curtain before our eyes, with a 360° view of the legendary Pale di San Martino and the Lagorai.
To warm us up, a warm herbal tea from Buongiorno alle erbe di Primiero by Erborì will do the trick.
Needless to say, but up here it really feels like being in Paradise! - 6.50 - The immaculate slopes of Passo Rolle await us: we will be the first to leave our mark with our tracks on the perfectly groomed trails. All that’s left is to buckle our boots and enjoy a memorable ski run. The ski instructors from San Martino di Castrozza will give you useful tips on how to navigate the Fiamme Gialle slope quickly yet safely and enjoyably.
- 7.30/8.30 - We arrive at Malga Rolle where a fantastic breakfast awaits us… to be enjoyed around the fireplace! Here you will be spoiled for choice: milk, butter, yogurt, and cheeses produced on-site, local cold cuts, eggs, honey, jams, and juices from Agritur Dalaip dei Pape, finishing with delicious cakes from the Primiero tradition… in short, temptations for the palate will abound!
- 8.30 - We know… before leaving you had planned to go straight back under the covers… but we have no doubt, after this energy boost, you will have already changed your mind: a great ski run at the foot of Cimon della Pala doesn’t happen every day!
