As every year, you dream to book the holidays away from traffic and crowded town centres, if possible in a very quiet, green area, where you can take a real break and use the mobile phone just to take the best pictures ever. Don’t give up the idea, such an experience is not just possible, but also very easy to book. The only effort required right now, is to choose among our trekking offers. Have a look at thePark2Trek Dolomites, a trekking from hut to hut in the wildest Dolomites, between the Pale di San Martino and the Vette Feltrine, along part of the Alta Via Nr 2, in two Natural Parks.
The only things you need are your backpack, training and adventure spirit! Our tip: If you like vie ferrate, have a look at the Dolomiti Palaronda Ferrata with the best via ferrata tours in the Pale di San Martino, from 3 to 7 nights in typical mountain huts.
If the title makes you think of wellness centres, saunas, whirpool and thermal baths, you are on the wrong track. The wellness area we have in mind, is a natural one, being 20.000 hectares big, with walls made of Dolomite rock, fresh water running down the streams and huge relax areas, where you can rest on green meadows surrounded by spruce forests. The Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Natural Parkis an enchanting area populated by deers and roe deers, marmots, wood grouse and eagles, which boasts a great variety of natural environments.
Some examples? The Altopiano delle Pale is a fascinating plateau made of bare rock, that inspired alpinists, travellers and writers, the Val Venegia is a lovely, uncontaminated valley with breath-taking view on the Pale di San Martino, pastures and typical mountain paths and Val Canali is the “house” of the Natural Park, where you can learn its geological story and find out more about its area.
If you are looking for adrenaline and want to dare some tricks in front of the Dolomites, you should try the San Martino Bike Arena, with its Downhill and Enduro tracks, or the Colbricon Bike Park. If you can’t choose, go for both. With the gravity pass you have access to both bike parks, which are connected one to the other.
