The environment

The silver of the Pale of San Martino dolostones, the intense green of the forest of Paneveggio, the dark gray of the Lagorai chain porphyries: three different environments combined in the Natural Park of Paneveggio - Pale of San Martino. Four naturalistic museums offer the opportunity for discovering the century - old traditions of the area.

Wildlife Skiing

The ski area of San Martino di Castrozza and Passo Rolle lies mostly within the borders of the “Paneveggio – Pale di San Martino” Natural Park. Skiing along these slopes offers the unique emotions of an environment of rare naturalistic value: the rough porphyries of Punta Ces, an eagles kingdom, the chamois of Valcigolera, the pastures and dairies of Alpe Tognola, the dolomitic rocks of Colverde flaming up at sunset, the “Violins Forest” at Passo Rolle... You can either participate to the guided excursions with an expert from the Natural Park or going on a skiing trip on your own with the help of a route map.
