An extensive program of events, activities, suggestions for excursions, recreation opportunities for the après-ski, enriches your stay at this corner of Trentino.

The charm of the historic centers

The sunny valley of Primiero has got six small villages: the historical centers offer interesting views that recall the story of a border area.

There are villages with rustic buildings, old palaces in Gothic style, habitation decorated with popular frescoes, Romanesque churches and great fountains in local stone.

Of particular interest is the Palace of Mines, the Gothic Archpriest of the Assumption, the church of San Vittore with a medieval painting cycle, the mysterious ruins of Castelpietra in Val Canali. San Martino di Castrozza is instead a village that had a medieval old monastery but now remain only the bell tower of the curch.

Traditions

One of the current tradition that is imprinted in some festival is "il falò de la vecia" in the last day of Carnival, it represents the stake of a wicked woman to remove the bad luck.
Dances of the folk group of Mezzano, the oldest in Trentino, recall ancient artisan and rustic activities.
