Music, astronomy and alpine pastures are brought together in an unusual trek under the stars: Mario Brunello - together with kindred musicians pianist Andrea Lucchesini, violinist Marco Rizzi, violist Danilo Rossi and journalist Paolo Rumiz - will set out on a virtual journey along the Milky Way, meeting on the way the people and creatures who come to life in the mountains by night. All the music performed will be in this theme: songs, lieder and instrumental works such as Chopin’s famous Nocturnes, this year being the bicentenary of the composer’s birth.

By way of a natural conclusion to the night-time trek, Mario Brunello, Andrea Lucchesini, marco Rizzi, Danilo Rossi and Paolo Rumiz perform at dawn, bringing with them the sensations gathered during their walk, imparting them to those who have shared their exertions and pleasures, but also to those who await them up in the mountains. Sensations that will add to those we already feel every time the sun rises over the Dolomites. Musically, it will also be an opportunity to mark another important anniversary: 200 years since the birth of Robert Schumann.
