EVERY VILLAGE, A new DISCOVERY

Small, lively, rich in history. We're talking about the villages of upper Primiero, now united with San Martino di Castrozza in a single large municipality.

Take the time to explore them all: each one will tell you something new about the traditions and history of our valley! You might start with a stroll through the historic district of Fiera, perfect for a bit of shopping or a tempting aperitif with a view of the Pale. Just a few steps away lies the small fraction of Pieve, with its majestic Parish Church and the fifteenth-century Palazzo delle Miniere, once the seat of the mining court.

From there, the traces of the “Canopi” will lead you to Transacqua: a journey through history that will take you back to the times when silver and other precious metals were extracted here, and the valley was the treasure chest of Tyrol. Tonadico, the "paese pinacoteca" (art gallery village), will surprise you with the wealth of frescoes and paintings adorning the houses in the historic centre, not to mention the ancient Palazzo Scopoli, Casa del Cibo, now the Primiero "House of Food". Meanwhile, a visit to Siror will reveal mythical and legendary figures – from the skilful Mazaròl to the Auselon of Pisorno, and the fearsome Caza Beatrich – brought to life on the large wooden panels that line the streets of the village centre, telling the stories of local legends.

Need a moment just for yourself? The villages of Primiero are surrounded by paths and trails suited to every pace and every age, allowing you to move in an instant from the lively atmosphere of the town to the rejuvenating silence of nature.
